Candy is not officially considered (by the government) to be a food in Canada. In fact, dietary guidelines advise them to, “limit sugar, fat, salt and alcohol.” Does it make a difference in how people eat? Apparently not. Canadians are set to spend some $300 million in October alone on Candy.
